Dresden Layered Flowers

 This month, Lorrie Ryther-Hall shares a fun idea on making Dresden Layered Flowers.  Hope you will give it a try.   DRESDEN LAYERED FLOWERS This layered flower is easy to make. First, take your template, any template but the 18” is best. Make three copies of the template on card stock; marking it in thirds at the 2 ½, 4 and 5 ½ inches. When cutting the three templates out, have the end so that it will overlap each other. You will need four jelly roll strips; one for each of the smaller blades and two strips for the larger blades. Make 20 blades of each of the three parts, using one, two, or multiple colors or batiks. Basically, using a jelly roll, the blades will measure 2 ½ at the top tapering down to 2 ½" long; 4” tapering to 2 ½” long; 5” tapering to 2 ½” long. Make the blades (instructions below).
